Membership

The society has an annual membership which runs from September to August, currently branch members can have individual or joint membership.
The cost of individual membership is £20 per annum, and joint membership is £35.

Membership Forms

A membership form can be downloaded from this website by clicking on the following link: Membership Form. You can post the form and a cheque to the address given on the form or bring the form and membership fee to the next branch meeting (see programme)

Profile Forms


In addition to the membership form, you can also complete a Profile Form. This will enable you to submit names and details of people in your family tree that you want more information about. Your queries will be published in the society’s journal and/or the society’s website if you wish.

Benefits of Membership

Membership entitles a member to attend meetings of the North Armagh branch and of any of the other branches of the North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS). Further details of the branches of the NIFHS branches and their programmes can be found at: http:www.nifhs.org/branches.htm

The Branch maintains a library of books and other material of use to its members. Further details can be found here

One recent addition to these benefits is access to ‘The Ireland Collection’ via JSTOR, this is an academic database for digitally recorded journals which holds many journals of interest to family historians researching families in Ireland.
